  • DIGITALPHOTOGRAPHERS.NET PASSES THE 5,000 MEMBER MARK! YAY! I started
the forums at DPN a year and a half ago because I was being asked the
same questions repeatedly about camera settings, photoshop techniques,
etc… so I figured, why not put them on a searchable database? From
the onset, I made the terms of service strict – your post had to
request or provide information – and you couldn’t slam other people.
I’ve seen forums in the past implode because of a community that grew
nasty. I’m proud to say that we’ve assembled a large community of
caring people. Characteristically, so many more people browse the
forums than register and my stats say they’re here to read the vast
library which is a good thing. The number of page views is quite
something:  I’ve also pulled down the listing view of online
members – because now our typical number of people online is double
this, all you would see was the members online. Here’s an example:

I had no idea this would happen… DPN never intended to become the
portal it has become today, but thanks to such a great community of
really cool people who help others get going in digital photography….
I feel like it is the best for these reasons. THANK YOU so much.  Come join our digital community!   click here!
