FIVE
WAY DIGICAM SHOOTOUT! – I
did a model shoot with Lisa Arning and compared the results from
different cameras in different lighting situations. See how the
FUJI S20, NIKON D70, NIKON D2H, FUJI S2 AND CANON EOS10D compared
against each other. You’ll be very surprised with the results..

It was great having a tiny high-performance and silent camera
with which to take shots completely unnoticed… fans of the

I shot the S20 at a wedding! Really! And then compared
it to the Nikon D2H, Canon EOS10D, Fuji S2 and my shoulders are
killing me! But it’s the first test of its kind …. click here!!!

- THE FUJI S20 TEST -
This camera features the
new Fuji Super CCD SR fourth generation sensor. This is the sensor
technology that actually has two sensors per pixel, a regular
pixel plus a “low sensitivity” pixel which helps the
camera pickup the blown out highlights that so often plague digital
images. Fuji claims a 4x dynamic range increase (this would be
two stops). Based on what I’ve seen with my early tests – well,
I’ll let you read the reviews and see the images… click

- THE END OF THE FULL
FRAME SENSOR??? -
- The camera manufacturers are getting smart.
Rather than spend the ginormous bucks to have what’s called a
“full-frame sensor” as is found on the Canon EOS1DS,
KODAK PRO/N, they are now simply making the lens barrels smaller
so that you now have a “full-frame” sensor without
having any of the image area cropped out… CLICK

- THE BEGINNINGS OF A POWERFUL PARTNERSHIP!
- We’ve all been secretly giddy about this,
but finally it’s official. WeddingChannel.com and Pictage, Inc.
have formed an exclusive partnership. W.C. not only becomes an
equity owner of Pictage, but (most importantly), we’ve struck
a marketing deal that has huge benefits for our photographers.
The details will be outlined by both the WeddingChannel and Pictage’s
press releases, so there will be a lot of good news streaming
out in the next few days, especially at the convention. Michele
Celentano made the official announcement tonight about an hour
ago in Las Vegas, and there is going to be a large-scale cocktail
party at 4:30pm Monday to celebrate.
- This strategic alliance partners two of
the most dynamic companies in their respective fields… not
only as market leaders, but as innovators. It was a treat to
meet W.C.’s CEO, Adam Berger, (who I’ve heard so much about…
what a JOB he’s done with WeddingChannel!…), and I’m thrilled
that I get to work with him as he joins Pictage’s board of directors.
As many of you know, Pictage has enjoyed unprecedented growth
and profitability, and it’s just a huge honor to know that a
prestigious organization such as W.C. found enough promise in
us to invest in a future together.
- “We spent two
years researching
the industry to conclude Pictage was the best company to back
– they really get it.” – Adam Berger – CEO of WeddingChannel.com.
- I have to hand it to our CEO, Jason Kiefer
for an amazing job at the helm of the company. Adam Berger shared
with us that it was largely his belief in Jason’s seasoned executive
skills that motivated him to push for an investment in our company.
I’m right behind him in the cheering section. Jason is a phenomenal
executive, and so is Adam, and I believe the two of them will
make tremendous partners in the future. I couldn’t be happier
about this.
- Let’s find creative ways to celebrate!

HAS MOVED TO MIAMI!!!
This seminar was created in 2000
as a really elaborate response to the question, “How do
you charge higher fees?”. In my 20+ years in business, I’ve
seen so many photographers dip their rates at certain times of
the year to cover the bills… after all we are in a very seasonal
business. I found it was easy to avoid all of that by – well
sign up for the class – as soon as I have dates set from the
Sheraton BalHarbour Miami… I’ll put it in my cart…!
The
Canon EOS-1D- MARK II

a new 8.2megapixel CMOS sensor and a host of new features! Denis
Reggie has been very secretive about something lately, and he’s
agreed to do a full interview about “something” this
coming Monday… so I’ve created a forum for you to ask your
questions about the new camera… simply CLICK

the demo – without the tutorial, that’s how exciting the demo
was. This product selects/inspects/corrects all in one step…
saving untold hours of workflow.
