NEXT STOP: SAN DIEGO
We are getting all geared up for
the Photo Imaging and Design Expo – this should be another huge
convention and trade show with an expected turnout of thousands. I will be speaking at 2:00pm on Monday
Afternoon, and we will have our Trade Show booth with a healthy supply
of Lightspheres, Software, DVD sets and of course demos of our
awesome “Instant Movies
Online”. Come visit us at our trade show booth.

TERRIFIC EXAMPLE OF DOING THINGS IN A POWERFUL WAY

of Tampa Photo came to my Wealth Building Workshop in Miami last year
and sends me her studio newsletters. This newsletter is EXACTLY
an example of the message to get out there… click here to see the newsletter. It’s PERFECT.In W.B. I taught how to construct a powerful e-mail campaign, how to
collect the best addresses for you, and basically how to use
newsletters as a powerful marketing tool. MJ and her husband
Kevin are just exploding with success and very deserving of
it. (I’m sorry but I am no longer doing the
workshops). My mentor, Rocky Gunn, told me that if someone offers
you help or advice, take it and run! And the best way to thank
your mentor is to make a huge success out of yourself with the help
you’ve been given, then when you’re a success, pay back by helping
those on the way up. HE WAS A GREAT MAN with great advice… he
changed my entire life and what an inspiration. So I have to
share this cool update from her:
When
I look at our business and what we are doing and accomplishing, I
realize that a lot of our success stems from ideas of yours!
#1 – Your CORNERSTONE album was the
first one I’d seen of its kind over three years ago at FPP. We ran with
that idea and Coffee Table Books have become the backbone of our
wedding business. We grew our biz 400% that first year we brought them
out and even had them featured in Studio Photography and Design last
year!#2 – We’d already been shooting
digital and had been contemplating the purchase of the S-2′s when they
first came out. After your FPP seminar about camera comparisons we went
right out and got the S-2′s and have been working with them ever since.#3 – Your collage builder is the
bomb! That was one of the first programs I got from you and I started
making collages for all the venues we had shot weddings at. The venues
like them so much they feature them and show them to all prospective
customers. One venue has even put several of them under a glass coffee
table for display!#4 – BullZEye – What a time saver
this has been. I just updated to the newest version and it works
amazingly fast! I used to spend hours trying to get the color right in
certain images. BullZEye does it in the blink of an eye.#5 – Instant Movies Online – I
FREAKED when I saw this program! I immediately created three movies and
posted them in my newsletter and on my website. In one day’s time I had
58 hits to them directly from my newsletter! The brides and the venues
both love these instant movies! What a great program! A girl emailed us
saying that when she saw the movies featured in my Newsletter they made
her cry! She is coming next Tuesday for an appt…Now her friend called
and she is coming next Wed! I can’t wait to make more
movies….nothing is simpler than this!!!!!#6 – Miami Wealth Building Seminar -
This was the best investment I ever made. I took your Miami seminar in
2004 and it has helped me out in so many ways. Our studio now
runs more efficiently due to all of your business tips and
tricks! I now publish a monthly newsletter (which you’ve seen)
that has over 2,000 subscribers. This newsletter allows me to keep our
customers up on current shows, have interesting articles, and offer
items for sale. Since the seminar I’ve also created what I call a
“StoryBoard Book” for children. People are going even crazier for that
book than our Bridal Albums! I’ve even entered it in album competition
at WPPI this year. We’ve also sold our house (also on your suggestion!)
and are in the process of using the equity from it to build a custom
home! I’ve also put about $10K savings in the bank with more to come
once the house is complete! Yipee! I still haven’t “invested” in real
estate but the fire is stoked!While we are nowhere near your level
of success, I look at what we have learned from you and what
products/services/ideas we use of yours and realize how much they
have helped build our business into what it is today.

DIGITAL INFRARED PHOTO FROM THE GRAND CANYON
I’m
getting kind of caught up on downloading images from our trip – and
there were a lot of them. I thought I’d share them with
you. These were done from an EcoStar Helicopter shooting a Nikon
Coolpix 990 converted to IR mode and it is SO cool!I like how the water is black. IR gets totally absorbed by the
water and it doesn’t matter if there are reflections or not, it’s still
pitch black. Cool.
